The Vasara Chronicles

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.  Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, it's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.  Which is what I do, and that enables you to laugh at life's realities.  ~Theodore Geisel

Writing fantasy offers the ability to create the worlds that exists in the recesses of your mind. To bring into existence a world that is only a thought, an idea without substance until the written word gives it form.

Welcome to my world of Vasara!

About the Author

Roland Capalbo calls Florida home these days, but grew up and lived in the picturesque Hudson Valley, an area so rich in beauty, history, and folklore, an author has an abundance of inspiration to draw from. Roland is married with two kids who constantly provide inspiration for the creation of story lines.

He draws his ideas from the people in his life and from the nature that surrounds him. Always a big reader of the fantasy genre, he has sometimes come across a book whose plot he just didn't like and, in his head, proceeded to rewrite the scene. This is where his desire to create his own worlds began.

Roland’s first book was a bedtime story he had written for his five-year-old nephew, called The Magic of the Pony Man. It was in this book that the idea for his first full-length novel, The Dragon and the Faerie, was born. He is currently writing the sequel, titled, The Dragon’s Redress.
